Easy Halloween Make up Tutorial!

This Halloween look is so simple yet so effective. The first thing you need to do is get yourself a really pale foundation, you want to almost make yourself look ill! You can use a white face paint but sometimes that can make your makeup look cheap and not well done!

Every product i use will be in brackets by what i say, click the link if you want to go through to buy it!

Once you have applied your foundation set it with a really pale powder or translucent if you have one as this won't change the colour of your face. Now you are ready to rock and roll!

The First step.

In this step we're going to do exactly the same as we would when we contour our cheekbones! The only difference is we won't be using a brown we will be using a black powder! To do this you can use a black eye shadow it works in just the same way (Sleek MakeUp - i-Divine Bad girl eyeshadow palette) !

Because we are using a black start very lightly because remember its easier to build colour then it is to take it away! Use the brush in a small circular movement so it won't be a harsh line on your face. At first it will look like side burns but don't panic when everything is done it will look very effective!

The Second Step.

The second step we're going to be doing is basically the same thing, see i told you nice and easy! Using the same eye shadow you are now going to shadow and enhance above your collarbones and the central dip of your throat. Use a darker shade of the eye shadow at the sides and base then gradually fade it away as you go up this can all be as dark or as light as you feel necessary!

The Third Step.

Now we're going to move on to the face starting with the eye brows. For this i used a liquid eye liner (Max Factor - Liquid eye liner) and some good old black face paint (Snazaroo - Black face and body paint) . Firstly with your liquid eyeliner (you can use a eyebrow/liner in black if you feel more comfortable) draw around your eye brow the shape that you want to create. TOP TIP: Because we are creating a halloween look i would go for a very high arched thick eye brow as this will make it look much more drastic and evil.

Once you are happy with your shape go ahead and fill it in with your face paint! Yes you will be looking a bit ridiculous right now but don't worry it will all come together soon, i promise!

The Fourth Step.

Time for the eye shadow! We wont to make this drastic and dark so don't be scared on apply the black! Firstly what you want to do with an angled brush (The body shop - Slanted brush) and black eye shadow (Sleek MakeUp - i-Divine bad girl eyeshadow palette) draw a line from just under where your eye ends all the way to the top leaving a little space before the eyebrow. It should look like this,

Then using the same black start to work from that line to the middle on your eye socket, put the black eyeshadow down then use a blending brush to blend it through (MAC - Blending brush) . Don't worry if its looking messy at this point you'll be able to neaten it up.

Once you've got half way with the black like this, do the same with blending technique but with a dark purple on the other side (same palette, colour - Twilight)when you meet in the middle start blending together, once you've done this, with your black eyeshadow run it heavily along your lower lid to add more depth. Remember don't be scared to keep adding colour it needs to be dark, its halloween!

Once your happy add a small amount of mascara just to darken the lashes (MAC - studio sculpt mascara). I only say a small amount because we will be adding fake lashes!

The Fifth Step.

Now the lashes! One of the most common dreaded parts! Because its halloween remember the bigger the lashes the better so go all out (Lashes - katy perry banging beauty)! To make this easier for you put the glue on the lashes and let it dry a little bit, this means the glue will go tacky and attach to your eyes much quicker! Then holding your lashes with tweezers (Bourjois - 2 in 1 false lash tweezers) put them on your lash line and hold them there for 30 seconds when you take away your tweezers they should be stuck, much easier!

To Complete Your Look.

Add some black lipstick to bring this look together.

Using the same materials you used for your eye brows you can complete your look by adding some spiders webs around your face, take your pick of where and become creative!

Lastly give your hair a gold old backcomb, really go for it you may as well halloween only happens once a year!

Now with this really easy halloween look you can go out and impress all of your friends this year, give it a go!

How to create the perfect brows!

Do you have straight eye brows? Or just lacking in thickness? Well I have a solution that can solve all your eyebrow troubles! This trick will help you to create a thicker, longer or curved brow and I can tell you all you need to know!

Firstly you need to create your base makeup. This means your foundation and your contouring. Don't forget your powders as well for setting your base makeup and to create that wow factor! DO NOT start your eye makeup this means eye shadow, mascara anything! The reason behind this is because your eyebrows will sculpt your face meaning your eyeshadow should be working to fit into your brows so you have to wait until you have completed your eyebrows!

The products and Makeup brushes I will be using in this tutorial are:

1) Brow and lash brush - Mine is a really old number 7 brush which is no long sold but theres plenty more like the Real techniques lash and brow groomer, it is a really good one at a decent price of £7.99. These things last forever and are so worth having!

2) The body shop - Slanted Brush £9.
This is the best brush you will ever own as can be used for more than one thing! I use it to define and darken the eyebrow and also works the same for the eye socket! Could a girl possibly ask for anything else!

3) Rimmel - eyebrow pencil £2.99.
I personally don't feel like you need a really expensive eyebrow pencil. I can't live without this pencil as it doesn't move i can put it on in the morning and know that my eyebrows will look the same through till night time, and the best thing is its not too expensive!

4) Sleek makeup - i-Divine palette in au natural £7.99.
This is the best palette ever! Again at a really good price you get so many colours that can be used for your eyebrows and your eye sockets. In this palette I use the chocolate brown because it's a perfect match to my hair colour!

After you have completed your base makeup you will need to prepare your eyebrows!

- Using the thicker bristles of your brow and lash makeup brush (looking at my photo it would be on the right side of the brush). Use this tool to brush through your brow in a slight upwards movement. This will make such a difference to your brow!

- As you can see in this photo my left brow has been brushed and you can really tell!

Once you have brushed both brows out you will then need your eye brow pencil so you can start to reshape your eyebrows!

MAKE SURE you have matched your eye pencil and your eye shadows to the colour of your hair. The worst thing is to have different coloured eyebrows everyone!

- Start from where your brows begin to arch and end where they begin to thin and end, creating more of an arch in your eyebrows.
REMEMBER - Do not draw your eyebrow in yet, only create a line to reshape them!

- It should look a little like this.

Once you have used the pencil to reshape your brows you will need to then get your angled makeup brush and your eye shadows so we can start to darken the eyebrow.

- Get the smallest amount of eye shadow onto your angled brush making sure you blow off all extra powder. You do not want dark eyebrows, build up the colour gradually, this will create a more natural looking brow!

- When starting to fill in your eyebrows start by going from the middle to the end. This will help create a more natural brow as this half needs to be darker.

- As you work your way up to the start of the brow begin to use less and less eye shadow because I'm sure you all know an eye brow is not all one colour, the colour will gradually get darker as you go down the brow so always make the start lighter. This will help your brows look natural!

- Once you have completed colouring in your eyebrows you will then need to get your lash and brow brush and comb your brows through again. This will dull them down a bit and also get ride of the powder effect the eye shadow would have given them!

Look at the difference, amazing!

Once you have completed both eye brows you can then finish your eye makeup and then you'll be ready to hit the town!
It's just as easy as that!

The Kim Kardashian Look.

Do you love The Kim Kardashian look? Or do you need a helping hand with those cheekbones! Well the Kim Kardashian contour secret is the one to use! In this I'm going to be telling you how to do the Kardashian contour look and also at the end I will show you a video of me completing the Kardashian look with her black smokey eyes, so you're ready to wear it on a night out!

The first thing you need to do is get your everyday foundation and lightly cover your face, covering all blemishes creating a airbrushed effect.

- Next you need to get your hands on a cover up that is two shades lighter than your skin tone and another one that is two or three (if you want to go very drastic) darker than your skin tone. Ladies no need to get anything pricey!

Products I will be using as a base in this tutorial are:

1) MAC makeup - Studio fix foundation £21.50.
I am using this as my natural foundation. It's a really nice everyday foundation, its not too thick on the skin.

2) MAC makeup - Studio finish concealer £15.
I'll be using this as my lighter concealer. If you're in need of an everyday concealer for blemishes or spots I highly recommend this. Not much is needed for a perfect cover!

3) Natural Collection - Foundation £1.99
I'll be using this as my darker concealer. You can use a liquid or a compact foundation or concealer. I went for a cheaper brand as it won't be going all over your face, it will work perfectly for this look! No need to spend a lot of money!

After you have preped your face lightly with your natural foundation you will need to apply your dark and light concealers in the correct places to emphasise the correct areas.

- All places on my face marked with BLACK circles is where the dark concealer should be placed.

- All places on my face marked with RED circles is where the light concealer should be placed.

Once you have completed all the dark and light lines on your face you will then need to use your foundation brush to lightly blend it all in.
TOP TIP: Don't blend in too harsh as you will still need to tell the difference between the dark and light areas as this will be creating your shadowing, which will enhance your facial structure.

Foundation brush I have used:
MAC makeup - 187SH Duo Fibre Brush.
I love this brush for foundation as I feel it blends your makeup so well.

Once you have blended in all your concealer feel free to go over it with a bronzer just to add a slight shimmer and extra shading.

Brush I use for power contouring:
MAC makeup - 109 Small Contour Brush.

Once you have completed all the blending it should look a little bit like the pictures below. As you can see my cheekbones and jaw look much more pronounced. Also my forehead looks smaller and my noes looks slimmer! It does wonders!

- If you want to create a more drastic look feel free to keep adding the light and dark concealers until you are happy with it! Everyone is different!

After I completed my Kim Kardashain contouring I wanted to complete my hole face so I was ready to party!
Here's a video of a quick and easy Kim Kardashian smokey eye!

Step one - Prime your eye lids to create a bolder eye shadow colour.
Step two - Use a base eye shadow, any whites or natural colours is perfect.
Step three - Get a black eyeshadow and blend into the sockets of your eyelids. Also blend over the eyelids to create the smokey effect.
Step 3 - To add some shimmer to my eyes I used a silver eyeshadow and just placed it in the sockets of my eyelids. (DO NOT use it all over the eye lids it will become too over the top!).

Step 4 - With the black eyeshadow again run it along the bottom of the eye lid and up in the corners just to shadow the eyelids.
Step 5 - With a blending brush go over the hole eye making sure you've blended it all in and make it as big and smokey as you like.
Step 6 - Add a highlighter to under the brows to make your eyes POP!
Step 7 - Curl and apply your mascara. No upper eyeliner is needed as you don't want to over do it!
Step 8 - Enhance lips by applying a natural lip colour.
TOP tip - When you have a heavy smokey eye try not to have bright bold lips! This could risk you looking over done!

This is the final Kim Kardashian makeup look! Now your ready to hit the town!

How to get fuller lips.

Do you struggle with wearing coloured lipstick? This is something I've always had a problem with! I thought my lips were not full enough to wear any colour. But i have found a solution to create a big bold lip that looks more natural than ever and I'm going to share it with you!

Firstly I'm going to show you with a lip colour of deep red to show you this technique can be worked with drastic colours!

1) First choose your colour lip liner that matches your lipstick (unless you want to create a fading lip).
- Now instead of creating your outer line with lip liner on the rim of your lips you need to draw it on the outside of your lips.
- So you're actually drawing the line on your skin but touching the rim of your lips.
- This just adds that extra line to make your lips look way more plump!

Below is what you lips should look like once you've gone around the whole lip with your lip liner.

2) Then with your lip brush (I'm using the EMITE MAKE UP BRUSH L312) you will need to blend in your lip line so this makes it look more natural and not as harsh.
- Blending it in will also help you get away with this extra bit being your normal fuller lip!

3) Lastly with the same lip brush, you will need to get some of your chosen lipstick colour and paint in your whole lip.
- do go right to the edges to smooth it all in together and again to help the line look like your natural lip.

Once you have finished, your lip should look like this, So much fuller! Now you can go out with a more confident bold smile as well!

Here are the products I used in this tutorial if any of you loved them just like I do!
Lipstick - CHANEL, Lotus rouge.
Lip liner - MAC make up, Burgundy.
(This is a great liner if you want a deep red lip).

If any of you feel the red I used is not your tone here's some other red tones that are my favourites as well!

1) MAC make up - Dubonnet.
This is a great deep red that goes perfectly with the burgundy lip liner I used in the tutorial!

2) NARS make up - Flamenco.
A lovely rather light red. Would suit pale skin amazing!

3) MAC make up - Deep in love.
This is a really deep red that would look great on dark haired ladies!

Don't be fooled everyone! This technique can be used with a natural everyday lip as well! Just go by the same rules but use a natural colour!
Products used for a natural look.
1) Lipstick - CHANEL, Soleil nature.
2) Lip liner - MAC make up, Boldly bare lipliner.

Again heres some other natural lipstick i would highly recommend.

1) MAC make up - Angel.
Really good natural lipstick if you want quite a pinky tone on your lips.
2) MAC make up - Hue.
This is a bit of a softer pinky tone than Angel, but will also create the same effect.
3) MAC make up - Viva glam.
Such a good natural lipstick if you're going out. Colours the lip with a natural tone but leaves a very nice glisten.
